Version 1.1 Submitted
Hey all,
Version 1.1 of Loot Master has been submitted to the App Store. Here are the details...
Changelog for v1.1:
- Addressed spell balancing.
Spells were overpowered in version 1.0. Trunks333 was right in his feedback that the game needs to end. With overpowered spells the game could potentially go on forever. Spell strengths have been adjusted to address this issue. The game is meant to be a battle of attrition, which is what we have in version 1.1.
- First two waves have reduced enemy count.
- Addressed game pacing issues.
- Adjusted game difficulty progression.
This is in response to the user feedback that the game is too frantic. The game pace has been adjusted to start a little smoother and then as your character progresses and becomes stronger the monster difficulty also ratchets up. The loot drops and player selection of how they load out their item build will ultimately determine how long they'll last.
- Lengthened time items remain on ground.
This also goes along with user comments that the game is too frantic. No one wants to lose items until they've had a chance to determine if they want them or not.
- Unique item fixes.
Fixed a few unique items that had some minor issues.
- Removed 30 second round intermission limit.
The 30 second round intermission was removed. This is also service to the community that wanted more time to determine what gear they would take into the next round.
- Added boss levels.
Every 9th wave is now a Boss Wave. This was requested by users and is now in the game!
- Item dragging more intuitive.
Now you can just tap an item on the playfield and if there's room in your bag the item will be moved to your bag automatically. Also if you drag at item over the character and miss the intended slot, the game will now automatically match it up for you. Hopefully this will make the gameplay feel more natural and more intuitive.
I hope everyone enjoys the latest improvements. I'll let you know when the versions hits iTunes officially. As always, please let me know what you think.
Hi Quest,
Thanks for the feedback. I would like to add different background/monster themes as the game progresses. It's a great idea and would add to the feel of the game. It didn't make it into version 1.1, but I want to get that feature into the game--hopefully in the next version.
I would also like to integrate an online high score table into the game so that people will be able to compete for high scores.
We're working on adding load/save, so it won't be too long before that's part of the game =)
