Hey all,

Version 1.1 of Loot Master has been submitted to the App Store.  Here are the details...

Changelog for v1.1:

- Addressed spell balancing.

Spells were overpowered in version 1.0.  Trunks333 was right in his feedback that the game needs to end.  With overpowered spells the game could potentially go on forever.  Spell strengths have been adjusted to address this issue.  The game is meant to be a battle of attrition, which is what we have in version 1.1.

- First two waves have reduced enemy count.
- Addressed game pacing issues.
- Adjusted game difficulty progression.

This is in response to the user feedback that the game is too frantic.  The game pace has been adjusted to start a little smoother and then as your character progresses and becomes stronger the monster difficulty also ratchets up.  The loot drops and player selection of how they load out their item build will ultimately determine how long they'll last.

- Lengthened time items remain on ground.

This also goes along with user comments that the game is too frantic.  No one wants to lose items until they've had a chance to determine if they want them or not.

- Unique item fixes.

Fixed a few unique items that had some minor issues.

- Removed 30 second round intermission limit.

The 30 second round intermission was removed.  This is also service to the community that wanted more time to determine what gear they would take into the next round.

- Added boss levels.

Every 9th wave is now a Boss Wave.  This was requested by users and is now in the game!

- Item dragging more intuitive.

Now you can just tap an item on the playfield and if there's room in your bag the item will be moved to your bag automatically.  Also if you drag at item over the character and miss the intended slot, the game will now automatically match it up for you.  Hopefully this will make the gameplay feel more natural and more intuitive.

I hope everyone enjoys the latest improvements.  I'll let you know when the versions hits iTunes officially.  As always, please let me know what you think.

choosing to be reclusive is
choosing to be reclusive is web hosting and irrelevant compared to treating social anxiety. You can choose not to go for web design and instead to hang out with your close friends at home, but that doesn't change any irrational symptoms of anxiety when in social situations. All you'd be doing by becoming a recluse is by removing the source of search engine optimization to an extent.

Nice game
Along with everyone else, I would like a save current game option. Also, because I am in NYC and ride the subway a lot, I tend to play a game and listen to music at the same time. It seems this game is not good for that. Can we have an option to turn sound off?

Thanks!
You've made a phenominal game Doug, love it. Easily my favorite game on my iPhone and im embarrassed to say i've bought quite a few haha. I see in the new patch you added the Boss feature, not sure if you took that from my suggestion in the AppStore comments (Jeffro87), but im glad to see it! Definatly throw some variety in the game. Im also glad to see you tuned down the spell effeciency in the game, it would get to a point where "Blast" could wipe a wave to kingdom-come. I also commented in the AppStore that this game has so much potential, and I see that it really does. Just wanted to say thank you thank you for an amazing work and to see your dedication to the game! Great developer who listens to his customer base. Another HUGE HUGE needed fix, and i dont really see it in your new version notes.... is some way to save your progress. I can't tell you how many times ive gotten a phone call that i absolutely had to take and there went my level 70+ character that I had spent a good while leveling. If you didn't include that please get that out asap, thats seriously my only fault with the game so far. I know there's some comments for people asking for 1v1 online... Are you serious?! How would you even go about doing that? Its a game of waves... But i also have noticed some people asking for a highscore which is a cool idea but how would you go about keeping a score? Just through your last lived level? Anyhoo sorry for this extremely lengthy comment, mainly wanted to just say thanks Doug for an awesome awesome game! If theres any way I can help let me know, I absolutely love your game man.

Jeffrey87 said it best, I
Jeffrey87 said it best, I live in fear of getting a phone call. I lost one game where I got LVL 147 but got a call that killed my game. At that time I didn't know I was going to lose the game, and I was very sad to see I did. I did take a long flight just a couple days ago and being on airplane mode I played without fear. I got to lvl 255 with 135210 points before my wife got tired of me shaking the phone and made me quit even though I still had 8 scrolls of resurrection in my inventory. I was duel weilding weapons with top end damage over 3000, over 500 dex, about 135% crit and about 135 energy regen. It was getting pretty exciting at that high of level. I really wish I could have saved that game. On another note has anyone else seen orange quality items? I got a necklace one game tthat gave 20% treasure bonus. It would be cool if there were set items or scaling items (with lvl or stats) or both together. I know Doug said they will continue sneaking more items into the game

Sounds good, but...
First of all Loot Master is a good game and with some tweaking can be a great game. Sounds like the 1.1 changes will address gameplay, but personally I think you should add different background images either per wave or maybe every few waves. It would be cool if there were different themes for the backdrops such as fighting off waves in a graveyard, in a dungeon, at a castle, in the forest, etc.

Hi Quest, Thanks for the

Hi Quest,

Thanks for the feedback.  I would like to add different background/monster themes as the game progresses.  It's a great idea and would add to the feel of the game.  It didn't make it into version 1.1, but I want to get that feature into the game--hopefully in the next version.

I would also like to integrate an online high score table into the game so that people will be able to compete for high scores.

hi
Hi Doug, just like to say great game, really enjoy it! the changes in 1.1 sound like they're going to take loot master in the right direction; no save function though? ah well.

We're working on adding

We're working on adding load/save, so it won't be too long before that's part of the game =)
